Climate change has implications for both humans and natural systems and can lead to changes in resource use, production, and economic activity. In response, there are regional, national, and local initiatives aimed at limiting the concentration of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the Earth´s atmosphere. These GHG initiatives are based on the quantification, monitoring, reporting, and verification of emissions and/or removals.
The ISO 14064 certification allows AIQ to align the planning, implementation, and improvement efforts of projects—both in new and existing facilities, maintenance, and operations—with a sustainability vision that balances environmental and social care without compromising the efficient use of the Company’s economic resources.
Some of the GHGs include: Carbon dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), Nitrous oxide (N2O), Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), Perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6).
